What is the Enneagram for Leaders?

The Enneagram for Leaders is program that aims to lift the level of leadership in your workplace. An important aspect of good leadership is the ability to manage oneself, especially when under stress, having to move quickly, or trying to do too many things at once. Under pressure, it is all too easy to start acting out and making things worse instead of better.

Sound familiar? If so, here is something you should know about. The Enneagram is a uniquely accurate personality model that gives vital information about the personality types that all people have – including leaders. You will learn about the strengths that each Enneagram type brings to a leadership role. Each person has something valuable to contribute, whatever their type. To know about the Enneagram, see PDF: About the Enneagram.

Equally important is that each type also has struggles – areas of behaviour that are difficult or challenging. Knowing about these gives you leverage to take evasive action before any damage is done. In fact, when you learn about the Enneagram, you have a wealth of knowledge that you can utilise to enhance and improve the quality of leadership in your workplace. See PDF: About Enneagram Workplace Programs.

Good Leadership

Leaders who learn about the Enneagram will have insight into themselves and those they work with. The will learn about how different types see the world, what motivates them, and what holds them back. You will learn about the triggers that can send behaviour spiralling downwards – and what you can do to raise it, or even better, stop it happening in the first place.

We know very little about personality – what it is, how we get it and why, and how it impacts everything we do. The Enneagram will tell you everything you need to know. In fact, you will be truly amazed at what you discover.

Rationale for the Enneagram for Leaders

The Enneagram for Leaders is a staff training program aimed at leaders. It builds on The Enneagram at Work, which is a comprehensive personal development program for all levels of workplaces. In the Enneagram for Leaders  there is an additional module that describes the strengths and pitfalls that each type brings to a leadership role, and what you can do about them. Leaders who understand themselves and their behaviour have a headstart in overcoming their typical challenges and bringing out the best in themselves, benefiting their standard of leadership, and their whole workplace.

Delivery

The program consists of six modules, scheduled into 3.5-hour sessions. Content can be tailored to address particular issues that you might be facing, such poor behaviour, motivation or commitment. You can include individual interviews, counselling, coaching for personality issues, as well as pre and post-course assessments to measure progress. Participants receive comprehensive workbooks with each module, containing notes and recommended activities. For more details, see PDF Enneagram for Leaders Course Content. Participants

The Enneagram for Leaders will suit anyone in a leadership role, or who is thinking about one. Or maybe you want to know about the personality challenges that leaders could face. While 12 participants in a program is ideal, any numbers can be considered. If you are really serious about improving your workplace, an ideal approach would be to commission a program for your leaders first. Once they are clued-up about what the Enneagram involves and what it offers, you could follow this with a program for remaining staff and teams. See link: Enneagram at Work for more details. With your whole staff on board, your workplace will be truly transformed in ways you could not have imagined, prior to discovering this amazingly accurate model of human behaviour and motivation.
