Counselling Supervision is a requirement for counsellors registered with the Australian Counselling Association – the peak counselling body in Australia. Like other registered counsellors, I have a qualified supervisor, with whom I meet regularly. As a qualified counselling supervisor, I offer professional counselling supervision to qualified counsellors as part of their ACA membership requirements. Supervision is a contracted arrangement. If you would like to register with me as your supervisor, please follow the steps below.
Registering for Counselling Supervision
To check that I am the right person for you, please email me a brief ½ to ¾ page biography, written in a Word document. State briefly your
training, current situation (work or looking for work) and what you would like to achieve from supervision. If you are a member of ACA, include your membership number and level. Attach the Word document to email and send to [email protected]. I will respond as soon as possible, usually within a day or two. I will reply letting you know that it is okay to go ahead, or for any reason I think I’m not right for you, I will likewise let you know.
Once you have the okay to go ahead, please book your first session by completing the Supervisee Intake form below (including pressing ‘submit)’ and then booking your first session via the Counselling Booking Calendar, which covers supervision bookings as well as counselling. Sessions can by via face-to-face, telephone or Zoom. If you are nearby, face-to-face, at least for your first session, is preferable so that we can meet each other.
Once I receive your form and booking, I will email you a contract to peruse. Please read through this prior to your first session, where we will check over protocols and both sign off. You are then free to bring up any issues concerning your practice. You book your future sessions via the booking calendar as needed. When group sessions are available (over Zoom), I will let you know.
Supervision Fees
Individual 50-minute sessions are $80. Allowing for preparation and note-taking, this is deemed as an hour’s supervision. Appointments are prepaid at the time of booking. Group supervision via Zoom (2-hours) is $60, pre-paid by direct deposit.
